Village Lifestyle Park offers over 55s the opportunity to downsize, move to the country and enjoy a relaxed and comfortable retirement within a safe and vibrant community. But one of the biggest drawcards for retirees is the opportunity to purchase a brand new, stylish home for under $230,000.
There are currently two “off-the-plan” designs available – the Hazelwood and the Rawson. Either of these homes can be built to order, and thanks to the latest modular design techniques, can be ready to move into within around 3 months.
Today, our design focus article will take a closer look at the Hazelwood.
When you retire, you’ll have more time to put your feet up and relax, so a comfortable living area is a must. The Hazelwood features an open plan living space, with the kitchen, meals and lounge all centrally located. You’ll be cool in summer and warm in winter with reverse-cycle split-system heating and cooling, and if you like to entertain or read the paper in the morning sun, direct access to the large, covered, side decking is a definite bonus.
The Hazelwood boasts two spacious bedrooms, both with built-in robes, which gives you plenty of extra storage space. As both bedrooms are similar in size (3.4 x 3.6 and 3.4 x 3.4), you can choose either as the main – Bedroom 1 at the front of the house or Bedroom 2 at the back. Having a second good-sized bedroom also allows you to have family and friends stay over in comfort.
The kitchen overlooks the open plan living space, and features an island bench that’s perfect for sitting with a cuppa. The kitchen design includes a large corner pantry, which gives you lots of room to store your goodies, plus, there’s ample cupboard and bench space too.
Bathroom and Laundry
The bathroom is conveniently situated between the two bedrooms, and there’s a second toilet at the back of the house too. The separate laundry is located at the rear of the house and has direct access to the backyard, which means you can get the washing in and out without any trouble.
There’s two facade options – the Traditional, as shown here, or the Coastal. The front of the home is finished with a small covered deck at the entry that leads to the large single carport attached to the house. The Hazelwood also comes complete with concrete driveway and paths.
There’s plenty of space for relaxing outdoors, no matter what the season, with a large, covered deck right outside the living area. Your package includes quality Colorbond fencing, giving you the privacy of your own backyard – great for when the grandkids visit, or for those days when you want some quiet time, just you, the birds and your garden. And your yard also comes with a clothesline, rainwater tank, and a Colorbond lock-up shed, so you’ll have a safe place to keep your tools and other bits and pieces.
Come and See for Yourself
If you’re over 55 and wondering if retirement community living is for you, your best bet is to come and see for yourself. You can book a tour of Village Lifestyle Park and view the homes, check out the facilities and meet the residents to get a feel for what it’s all about.
If you decide to purchase a house and land package from Village Lifestyle Park, you’ll get a quality brand-new home, built by our partner, Anchor Homes, one of Gippsland’s most respected home builders. And because Anchor use modular building techniques, your new home can be built in as little as 14 weeks!
The Hazelwood has all you need to retire in style – and our house and land package is just $220,500 (at the time of writing), which makes it affordable too. So, if you’re over 55 and keen to find out more, we’d love to hear from you.
